Analysis that starts with the phone in your pocket.

Upload any swing video and Swing Lab reads your body frame by frame — 33 tracked body points, five key positions found automatically. No sensors, no studio.

How it works

Three steps. No setup.

01

Film on your phone

Face-on or down-the-line — no special hardware. The camera you already carry is enough.

02

Positions detected

Swing Lab finds the five key positions of your swing automatically, from address to finish.

03

Measured from your body

Joint angles and positions are read from 33 tracked body points on every frame.

The five positions

Every scan finds the same five checkpoints.

Coaching's P-system, detected automatically from body motion — your body is measured at each of these exact frames.

P1

Address

Setup, read before the club moves — stance, posture, spine angle.

P2

Takeaway

The first move away — arm structure and early rotation.

P4

Top

The transition — shoulder turn, hip turn and X-Factor at their peak.

P7

Impact

The moment that matters — body angles and weight as the club returns.

P10

Finish

The swing's receipt — balance and full rotation onto the lead side.

Scans using the ML event model add P3, P5 and P9. P6 and P8 are defined by the club shaft — body pose can't see it, so Swing Lab never reports them.

In depth

What happens to a clip after you press upload.

Before anything is scored, the capture itself is graded: framing, lighting and frame rate are checked, and a clip that can't support honest measurement is flagged instead of quietly producing bad numbers. Body tracking then runs with an on-device pose model in your browser — 33 points per frame, no wearable sensors, no lab.

The camera angle is detected too, and it decides what you see. Rotation needs a down-the-line view; weight shift reads best face-on. A metric your angle can't support is shown as exactly that — “n/a from this view” — because the alternative is a number someone made up.

The honest detail

What this actually does.

Verified behaviour, not marketing ranges — every line here describes something the product actually does.

  • Works with normal phone footage — no sensors, no studio setup.
  • 33 body points tracked on every frame of the clip.
  • Five key swing positions detected automatically.
  • Your capture is graded first — poor framing, lighting or frame rate is flagged, never silently scored.
  • The camera angle decides what's shown: metrics a view can't support read “n/a from this view”, never a fabricated number.
